The Boring Head delivers the optimum in precision performance. A major factor in this outstanding performance is the rugged construction and maximum bearing surface between the sliding gib and the body. This design assures superior rigidity for chatter free boring and precise hole-size accuracy. The bar holder moves freely and smoothly and, when locked in place, it holds firmly against tool-cutting pressures. The micrometer lead screw provides .001 direct-reading accuracy and ease in adjusting for a change in hole size or for tool wear.
